Kindergarten Newsletter April 30th-May 4th 2018

·        Our theme for this week is Cinco de Mayo!  Our new word wall word
is “there”  We now know the following words:  I, like, see, a, is, the, can,
my, and, have, go, to, has, am, look, are, saw, went, with, up, they, do, but,
said, will, saw, were, would, was, of and there.  Please review these at
home. The end goal is for every student to be able to read and write these
words correctly. It’s NOT easy and takes LOTS of practice EVERYDAY!
Thank you for your support! It really makes a huge difference in your
child’s performance.

We are looking forward to our next field trip on Thursday May 3rd  to
the sweet Loma Vista Farm in Vallejo! If you haven’t already turned in
your child’s permission slip please do on Monday!  Thank you!!!

·        PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDARS!  There are many important dates
to remember—  May and June are full of activities you won’t want to miss!

***ATTENTION MOMS: Friday May 11th is our big Mother's Day event that
you won't want to miss.  It's a very special treat for all of the moms, or if
mom is not available, grandmothers or aunts. AM Kinder moms will want
to be here from 8:30-9:45 and PM K moms from 11:45-1:00.

***DADS: Monday June 4th we will be celebrating our dads for Father's
Day.  Same start times as above. AM K will be from 8:30-9:15 and PM
from 11:45-12:30.  If Dad’s are not available, grandpas or uncles are
welcome!

For both events, if no one is available to come to school that day, the kids
just share their moms or dads with the other students.  It ends up being a
great time no matter what!!!
