newsletter Nov. 17-21st

Kindergarten Newsletter
November 17th – 21st

Because of our WACKY days this week, we will not be doing regular centers and will not need parent volunteers.  We would like help however, with FOLDERS in the morning, if you’re willing to stick around for a moment!

Here’s what’s coming up for this week…

·        Every day this week is a minimum day for the WHOLE school in order to accommodate parent conferences.  *ALL Kinder kids come to school together from 8:15-11:35am all week long. Dismissal every day will be just like Wednesdays.

·        We look forward to meeting you all this week for your student/teacher conference.  Your child IS encouraged to attend their student-led conference.  This is a great way to involve your child in his/her own education.

·        PLEASE make sure that you are signed up for a parent conference time through sign-up genius.  This is our ONLY sign up, so please make sure you are on it!

·        Toys for Tots will start as soon as we return from the Thanksgiving Break.  Student Council will be collecting new, unwrapped toys for kids of all ages.  These toys will be donated to families in need in the Fairfield community.

·        Mrs. Ron’s class will NOT be having parent conferences at this time.  They will occur upon Mrs. Ron’s return in January.

·        Mrs. Ron’s parent volunteers are still collecting donations for a “Get Well” basket for her.  We will deliver it to her soon!

·        Holiday Tree Donations—Thank you for all of your classroom donations!  We hope to raise lots of money for our kiddos at the Holiday Fair on Saturday, December 6th from 10am-2pm.  Santa will be there!

·        Canned Food Drive—Thank you for donating canned foods!!!

·        Our theme this week is Thanksgiving, and our new word wall word is “am.”   We know the following High Frequency Words: I, a, like, the, see, is, can, my, and, have, go, to, has, you & am.  Please encourage your child to use these words in their writing every day!

Thank you again for all that you do at home to support your child’s learning.  We appreciate all that you do!  Please feel free to email with any concerns or questions!  Thank you!!
