This short, four day week will FLY by. If you would like to help make our last day special, please see your child’s teacher, or email her, for specific donations needed. We will be having a small sampling of treats from holidays around the world. Donations will be greatly appreciated!
ATTENTION PARENTS OF PM KINDERGARTENERS:
Please remember that there is NO PARKING ever on the curb in front of Kindergarten. Please always stay in your car to drop off or pick up your child. Your kids must be able to independently get in or out of your car if you are using the front curb drop off lane. We must keep that lane moving so other parents can drop off their children. If you would like to walk your child into the playground area, you must park your car in the parking lot or out on the street. Please cooperate and keep our traffic moving. Thank you!!! :)
SPIRIT Days!
· Ugly Sweater Day! Please wear an “ugly” sweater on Wednesday December 20th. If your child doesn’t already have one, it’s easy to make your own. DIY can be sweet and simple. Have fun with it.
· Pajama Day! Please come to school in your cozy jammies or comfiest clothes on our last day before break, Thursday December 21st. Students must wear shoes, no slippers
Please mark your calendars with the above dates and activities.
We really try to instill in everyone that it’s more fun to participate!
· Our theme for next week is Christmas and Snowmen, and our new word is look. We know the following High Frequency Words: I, see, a, the, and, is, my, like, can, go, she, we, he, has, you, am, feel, want, for, have and look. Please encourage your child to use these words in their writing every day!
· With this cold and rainy weather, please make sure that your child’s coats, hats, gloves, scarves are LABELED!!!! Anything they could possibly take off during the school day should be clearly labled.
Lice Warning: Speaking of hats... Please warn your child about lice and emphasize to that they should never share hats or any other item that touches their heads. Unfortunately, our loving little Kindergarteners, and their lack of personal space, can spread lice to one another. Wearing hair up in buns, braids or ponytails can help prevent your child from picking up lice. It’s a nightmare to deal with, so prevention is the best plan. We are trying to teach them to protect themselves by keeping their heads away from others, and being aware about not touching hair or sharing hats.
· Six Flags Read to Succeed reading logs— Completed reading logs are due to school by February 23rd. If you have time, take advantage of the winter break to read with your child and fill out their reading log to earn a free ticket to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom.
· Donations needed: THANK YOU SO much to those who sent in Sharpies. If you would still like to donate black Sharpies, we would LOVE more and could still use a few boxes. We use Sharpies often for art projects, and our current Sharpies are old and dried up. Thank you!!!!
Thank you again for all that you do at home to support your child’s learning. We appreciate all that you do! Please feel free to email with any concerns or questions! Thank you!!
