Here’s what’s coming up for next week…
3 Upcoming SPIRIT Days!
· Holiday Spirit Day- Wear your holiday gear (shirts, dresses, hats, antlers..) on Wednesday, December 13th. Be festive and have FUN!
· Ugly Sweater Day! Please wear an “ugly” sweater on Wednesday December 20th. If your child doesn’t already have one, it’s easy to make your own. DIY can be sweet and simple.
· Pajama Day! Please come to school in your cozy jammies or comfiest clothes on our last day before break, Thursday December 21st. Students must wear shoes, no slippers
Please mark your calendars with the above dates and activities.
We really try to instill in everyone that it’s more fun to participate!
· With this cold and rainy weather, please make sure that your child’s coats, hats, gloves, scarves are LABELED!!!! Anything they could possibly take off during the school day should be clearly labled.
· Our theme for next week is Christmas/Holidays Around the World, and our new word is have. We know the following High Frequency Words: I, see, a, the, and, is, my, like, can, go, she, we, he, has, you, am, feel, want, for and have. Please encourage your child to use these words in their writing every day!
· Holidays Around the World—We have been talking about our family’s special Holiday traditions this month. If you would like to come in to share your family’s special traditions, please let us know.
· Holiday Fair—Thank you to all who came out last weekend and participated in the raffles and silent auction! The school was able to raise a LOT of money! Thank you!
· Six Flags Read to Succeed reading logs— Completed reading logs are due to school by February 23rd. If you have time, take advantage of the winter break to read with your child and fill out their reading log to earn a free ticket to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom.
· Donations needed: If you would like to donate black Sharpies, we would LOVE a few boxes. We use Sharpies often for art projects, and our current Sharpies have lived their lives. Thank you!!!!
Thank you again for all that you do at home to support your child’s learning. We appreciate all that you do! Please feel free to email with any concerns or questions! Thank you!!
