Happy early Earth Week everyone! Here’s what’s coming up for the next week…
· Next week’s theme is Earth Day! Our new word wall word is “would.” We now know the following words: I, like, see, a, is, the, can, my, you, and, have, go, to, has, am, look, are, saw, went, with, up, we, they, do, but, said, will, were, come, was and would.
ATTENTION VOLUNTEERS! If you regularly volunteer in your child’s classroom, or drive other students, making our field trips possible, PLEASE look for an invitation in your child's folder which will provide information for our Parent Volunteer Appreciation Celebration. We want to Thank YOU for all that you do to help us make Kindergarten a wonderful year. The celebration will be on Wednesday. See the invitation for more details.
· Writing—This month’s writing topic is how things feel when you touch them. Please have your child practice for writing daily. By now students are expected to be writing at least THREE sentences about how something feels when they touch it. Our goal is to have the kids choose one topic and elaborate on it, and really describing the experience. We are encouraging LOTS of writing that all goes together! THIS is how you will get to that exclusive Rubric 3!!!!!
