Thank
you all for joining us on our trip to the Jelly Belly Factory this
morning! We had a super fun day! ** Please remember that Monday is
a holiday. Enjoy a LONG three-day weekend! We will see you all on
Tuesday for our Valentine's Day party. Here’s what’s coming up
for next week…
- PARENT Valentine HOMEWORK!!!!!!!! Please make sure that you bring your parent valentine on Tuesday for our parties. We will be presenting these in class on Tuesday, so if you would like to be here for that, feel free to join us!
- Student Valentines & Valentine Boxes---please send both of these to school on, Tuesday, February 14th. Please help your child bring in 30 Valentines for his/her classmates. Please have your child sign ONLY his/her name on all of the Valentines. They will not be delivered if they are addressed to specific friends because it's too hard to manage.
- ALL are welcome at our Valentine’s Day party, but please reserve the party craft supplies for the Kinder kids! Feel free to come in and enjoy the day with your child!
- Read to Succeed- Six Flags Read to Succeed Reading logs are due on Friday, February 15.
- Our theme for next week is Valentine’s Day, and our new word wall word this week is “up.” We now know the following words: I, like, see, a, is, the, can, my, and, have, go, to, has, we, am, look, said, are, saw, went, with & up.
- WEEKLY HOMEWORK—Please have your child complete 1-2 pages per day. Please help and encourage your child to USE THE LINES when writing words and to write at least 2-3 sentences on only one topic. Have your child complete their work in their very best handwriting, USING CORRECT LETTER FORMATION, as this is a very important skill for Kindergarten.
- Writing—Our writing job is the same all month. We are NOW writing using SOUND words. Please have your child write at least two sentences about the sounds you hear from your favorite animal. “My dog is very noisy at home. When someone comes to the door and rings the doorbell, I hear WOOF WOOF!!!”
- READING Books—We are currently doing report card assessments and our reading groups are on hiatus for the time being. Please continue to read with your child every night, as well as Reading Eggs.
- Upcoming Dates:
- Feb.20--NO school for Washington's birthday
- Feb. 24—Mundy Dance Party 5:30 -7:30PM
