Thank you for all your hard work to help make those
fantastic leprechaun traps! We all had
such fun!!!
Here’s what’s coming up for our last week before Spring
Break…
·
Spring Break is almost here! Our break will be from
March 28th – April 6th.
Have a wonderful and sunny break, and we’ll see you on Tuesday!
·
Our Farm field trip will be on the
Wednesday that we come back from Spring Break, April 8th. Please see your teacher if you are
interested in riding on the bus with us.
We can only fit three parents per class to ride on the bus. HOWEVER, if you’d like to join us, just plan
to meet us there on your own.
Carpooling would be best!
·
BINDERS!!!!! We still have SEVERAL kids that have not given us a binder. We are filling these
with your child’s beautiful art projects done throughout the year. If you have not yet given us one, please do
so ASAP!!! Thank you! If you’re not sure, please ask!
·
Our themes for this week
are Easter, Chicks & Eggs. Our new word
wall word is “come.” We now know the
following words: I, like, see, a, is,
the, can, my, and, have, go, to, has, am, look, are, saw, went, with, up, they,
do, but, will & come.
·
This is the LAST WEEK to order a yearbook! Don’t be left out of these fun
memories! There will not be any
“extras” ordered, so if you would like one, please order it this week!
·
Library reminder—Please
help your child to remember to bring in the library books BEFORE
Wednesdays. We need to return them before
our library day!!!!
·
WEEKLY HOMEWORK—Please
have your child complete 1-2 pages each night, and complete the writing
assignment.
·
Our Student Council is STILL collecting
household items and easy to carry food items for Foster Care kids/teenagers of
Solano County. Their Wish List includes:
Toiletries -
shampoo, conditioner, soap/bodywash, lotion, face cleansers, deodorant (men's
& women's), shaving cream, razors. Full & travel sizes.
Household items - laundry detergent, dryer sheets, stain remover, paper
towels, toilet paper, baby wipes, dish soap, sponges, all-purpose cleaners.
·
Writing—For
this last week in March, we will finish talking and writing about how
things taste. This will be our
last week for taste words, and show-off writing will happen on Thursday or Friday. Please have your child write at least
two sentences about something you eat at home, school or out on the town, and
write about what it tastes like. Our
goal now is to have the kids choose one topic and elaborate on it, and really
describing the experience. “Today my
mom took me out for frozen yogurt. I
picked vanilla frozen yogurt with blueberries on top. The frozen yogurt tasted cold and soft in my mouth. The blueberries squirted juice when I ate
them.” (in Kindergarten writing of
course) We are encouraging LOTS of
writing that all goes together!
·
Reading Eggs!!! Please continue to log onto Reading Eggs and use
this program to help reinforce our standards from home. We are thrilled that it is finally here and
would like to encourage you to use it!
Once your child takes the initial assessment, he/she will be reading at
his/her individual reading level. It
really is a great program!
·
REMINDER Please be sure
that your child returns their plastic Ziploc book bag in their folder
everyday. Thank you!!
Thank you again for all that you do at home to
support your child’s learning. We
appreciate all that you do! Please feel
free to email with any concerns or questions!
Thank you!!
